If anyone wants to donate bikes, I'll teach the homeless how to fix 'em up for sale as an on-going money maker. Reality Bikes. The homeless value bicycle, unlike the rest of us, for transportation. But, I do not believe in giving bicycles away. WorkFare NOT Welfare. An honest day's dollar for an honest day's work.
Hey Paul the bike man Tay- Peace House needs a bike rack! Bunches of people show up on bikes but need to secure them. wanna tackle that?
Valerie
Sure. I've always wanted to do useful public art with bike racks. Why settle for some boring old post in the ground? Let's do some public art bikers can lock up their rides to!
My first off-hand idea for bike racks would be to permenantly plant old bikes, painted in funky tied-dyed Sixty-ish peace-flower child colors, into concrete. Bikers can lock up their bikes onto the 'bike-raq'. Simple, funky, and unique. Game? Or any other ideas?
I got a post hole shovel, some paint, and elbow grease. Anybody wanna donate the bikes and some welding equipment?
Oops. Forgot about the concrete mix. Need a couple of bags.
Got another idea! Peace Bike Parade! Decorate yerselves, pimp out yer bikes with peace themes, and create entertaining havoc all over town! Google artbikes, kinetic sculptures, tall bikes, couch bike, and you git the idea.
