PEACE HOUSE NEWS

Wednesday “Happiness Hours” continue from 5 – 7 p.m.---this is a time to drop in, meet others interested in a more peaceful world and to learn about (and shape) the Peace House Tulsa
agenda.

GRAND OPENING
The date is set for SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24 from 1 – 8 p.m.
Volunteers are needed!
First, for the organizing team to get all of the details covered (several people are already taking on some tasks— thanks!).
Second for the day of the event to welcome the visitors (hundreds surely!!) likely to stop by.

WISH LIST UPDATE
-Recycling bins (or a designated donation to purchase some)
-Deep bookshelves for displaying magazines
-Wheeled TV cart—tall one, like the ones used in schools.
-Two narrow folding tables
-Someone to volunteer on Wednesdays to help kids with craft and art projects.
-A tent for holding outside events.
-A volunteer to arrange and staff a PH booth at the Reggae-fest in Jenks Septemeber 17 (call me for details: 231-2188)

THANKS TO
-Donna V. and the Peppermint Dragon for the donated herbs which earned us $200 in donations at the herb sale and generated good will with the neighbors when we gave away the leftovers!!!
-Joan and Jim for the DVD player (I promise to pick it up soon!)
-Keeshi and her family for the donation of a poster from the Tom Lee exhibit (still going on at Living Arts Space—don’t miss it!)
-Bill A, for rescuing a sturdy office credenza from the trash and repurposing it for PH, for installing a new handle on the screen door, re-hanging the mailbox, placing a secure keybox.
